1 Who we are
Wardlayer (“the app”) is developed by Silver AI (“we”, “us”). You can reach us any time at support@silverai.com.
2 Background removal
Wardlayer cannot cut a garment out of its background on your phone, so when you add an item, one thing is sent to our background-removal service:
- A single downscaled JPEG of that one garment photo, and optionally a short category hint such as “shirt”. Nothing else accompanies it.
- The service processes the image and returns the cut-out; the image is not kept. The cut-out is stored on your device.
- The request carries no name, no account, no email, no device identifier and no advertising identifier. It identifies the app and its version, not you, so two requests cannot be tied to the same person by anything the app sends.
- The original, full-resolution photograph is never uploaded — only the downscaled copy of the garment, and only for removal.
Background removal runs on every item you add, on both the free and Pro tiers. If it fails, you can save the photo un-cut and nothing is sent again.
3 Adding an item from a shop link
“Thêm từ link” opens a shop page in a browser inside the app. That is your own web traffic: the shop receives a normal request from your device for the page you asked for, exactly as Safari would send it.
- The app adds nothing of yours to that request — no item, no photo, no measurement, and no Wardlayer identifier.
- From the page, the app takes the picture you tap and, when the page states them, the item's name and its price. These go into the form on your device for you to check, and are kept only if you save the item. Never a cart, or anything you type into that page. No request is made to us or to anyone else for this.
- The browsing session is ephemeral: cookies and the page are discarded when you leave, and nothing else about the page — not the URL history, not its other images — is stored.
- The picked image then follows the ordinary path above: saved to your device, and sent for background removal.
A shop can still see and log a visit from your device, as any website can. What the app can promise is that it adds nothing to what the shop already sees.
4 Weather for outfit suggestions
When you ask for an outfit suggestion you may give a place, so the suggestion suits the day's temperature. Giving one is optional.
- If you tap “Dùng vị trí hiện tại” or pick a place, that location's coordinates are sent to weatherapi.com, a third-party weather service, which returns the forecast. It handles the request under its own terms.
- If you type a place name, the text you type is sent to Apple's geocoding service to find the place.
- Nothing about your wardrobe travels with either request, and we do not store the location, the place name or the forecast.
5 Trends
Earlier versions of the app have a Xu hướng tab, which shows editorial content we publish. Those versions download that content and its pictures from our server, hosted on Cloudflare, when the app starts and when you open the tab. The current version has no such tab and makes no such request. Nothing of yours is sent; like any web server, it sees the request's IP address and time.
6 Khám phá — showing an item to other users
Khám phá lets you show one item or one outfit to other Wardlayer users, in two ways. Chia sẻ shows it for others to rate from 1 to 5. Hỏi ý kiến shows it with one question you pick from a fixed list, for others to rate and correct. Nothing is published unless you choose an item, tap Chia sẻ or Hỏi ý kiến and confirm. If you never open Khám phá, nothing in this section applies to you.
- What you publish: the photo of the item with its background removed (for an outfit, one per item) and the attributes you gave it — type, colour, material, season, occasion, fit, mood. The post also carries its kind and, for Hỏi ý kiến, which of the fixed questions you picked. Other users see the photo; on a Hỏi ý kiến post they also see the attributes and the question.
- What is never published: the item's name, brand, price and shop link, the original photograph, your wear log, your measurements and your body-shape reading.
- What you send when you answer someone else: on a Chia sẻ post, a rating and nothing else. On a Hỏi ý kiến post, a rating, the attributes you think are right, and, if you write one, a note of up to 150 characters. Only the person who posted sees ratings and answers. A note is read only by the person who asked, and by us if they report it. Do not put personal information in a note.
- An anonymous identifier. The first time you open the feature, the app is given a random identifier by Google Firebase. It is not your name, email, phone number or advertising identifier, and other users never see it. We store it beside each post, answer, report and block it made, so that you can see and delete your own posts and so that each person answers once. The app also sends a Firebase App Check token, which shows the request comes from a genuine copy of the app.
- Where it is kept, and for how long. Posts, answers, reports and blocks are stored on our servers, hosted on Cloudflare. A post stays open for 14 days, or 60 days with Wardlayer Pro. It is deleted, with its pictures and every answer to it, when you delete it, or 30 days after it closes.
- Blocks. When you block someone, we store your anonymous identifier, theirs, and the time. Neither is a name. The block hides each of you from the other, and stays until you clear your blocks in Cài đặt ▸ Khám phá. The person you block is not told.
- Whether you have Pro. Each request to Khám phá says whether this copy of the app has Wardlayer Pro, as yes or no. We use it only to set how many posts and answers you may make and how long a post stays open. We do not store it.
- Reports. Anything published can be reported. Reported content is reviewed by our team, who may remove it and may stop the identifier that published it from publishing again. The community rules say what is allowed.
7 What stays on your device
Everything else, in the app's own storage:
- Every item — its name, brand, category, colour, season, occasion, favourite, price, the link you saved, and the cut-out, except a cut-out and attributes you chose to publish in Khám phá.
- Every outfit, every wear log and your calendar.
- Your three body measurements and the reading derived from them. These are the most sensitive data in the app and there is no code path that transmits them — not to us, not to analytics, not to other users, not anywhere.
- Your original photographs and your settings.
- A count of the posts and answers you made today in Khám phá, kept in the device Keychain so the app can apply the daily limits itself. It is never sent.
There is no sync and no cloud backup: this data is removed when you delete an item, or when you uninstall the app. The one exception is the Khám phá count, which iOS keeps in the Keychain after an uninstall.
8 No sign-in, no profile of you
Wardlayer has no sign-in: it never asks for a name, an email address or a password. The only identifier is the anonymous one described under Khám phá, which exists only once you open that feature and is replaced by a new one if you erase the app's data. We do not build a profile of you, we do not sell or share data with data brokers, and the app contains no advertising and no cross-app tracking. It never asks for tracking permission and does not use the advertising identifier.
9 Analytics and crash reports
The app uses Google Firebase for anonymous usage analytics and crash reports, so we can see which screens are used and fix what breaks. These are counts and events — that a screen was opened, that an item was added, that the app crashed — with the device model and iOS version. Firebase processes this data as our service provider.
They never carry your content. Never an item name, brand, colour, price, photo, shop link or outfit — and not the category either, because a category histogram is a picture of your wardrobe. Never your measurements or your body-shape reading, not as a value and not as a range. The only thing recorded about you as a person is whether your subscription is active.
10 Purchases
Wardlayer Pro is sold through Apple's App Store. Apple handles payment; we never see your payment details. The app stores only whether your subscription is active, on your device.
11 Device permissions we request
- Camera — only to photograph a garment when you tap “Chụp ảnh”. If you refuse, the app falls back to picking from your library; nothing becomes a dead end.
- Photo library — asked only when you want to select several photos at once. Picking a single photo uses iOS's own picker and needs no permission at all, so that path keeps working if you refuse.
- Location, while using the app — asked only when you tap “Dùng vị trí hiện tại” for an outfit suggestion. If you refuse, you can type a place instead, and the app does not ask again.
Wardlayer does not ask for notifications, contacts or tracking. You can change any permission in iOS Settings → Wardlayer at any time.
12 Your control over your data
- Delete any item, outfit or wear log from within the app.
- Edit or clear your measurements at any time, in Cá nhân ▸ Số đo.
- Delete any post you published, in Khám phá ▸ Bài của bạn. Its pictures and every answer to it are deleted from our servers.
- Clear your blocks in Cài đặt ▸ Khám phá ▸ Bỏ chặn tất cả. They are deleted from our servers.
- Uninstall the app to remove all of its locally stored data.
We hold no copy of your wardrobe, so there is nothing of it for us to export or delete. Delete your Khám phá posts before you uninstall: afterwards the anonymous identifier is gone and we can no longer tell which posts were yours. Any left behind are deleted on the schedule above, at most 44 days after they were published, or 90 days for a post made with Wardlayer Pro.
13 Children
Wardlayer is intended for general audiences and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
14 Changes to this policy
